Exhibition in honor of Milka Eftimova

The Exhibition Milka Eftimova will be opened at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence on Friday, December 15 2024, starting at 8 p.m.

Some of the personal items donated by Milka Eftimova will be exclusively exhibited in the lobby of the museum.

Milka Eftimova is an opera and concert artist, alto and mezzo-soprano singer, doyen of Macedonian opera and ambassador of Macedonian art and culture in the world.

Vocal soloist, who sang forty opera roles, numerous parts in oratorio works and solo performances. An artist who has stood on the opera and concert stage more than 1200 times, in twenty countries around the world. She said goodbye to the opera stage with Carmen on November 6, 1991.

She was a full-time professor at the Faculty of Music in Skopje, a teacher at the Music-Ballet School Center in Skopje and the Secondary Music School in Shtip. In her rich musical career, she has been awarded the following awards: “October 11” (1985), “St. Kliment Ohridski” (2001), “Mother Teresa” (2009), as well as the Order of Merit of the Republic of North Macedonia (2022).

The author of the exhibition is Vasilia Chali – Associate for visual arts, design and architecture. The director of the Museum, Daniela Nikolova, MA, and Aleksandar Trajkovski, PhD, will address the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until January 15, 2024.
